After two and a half years of waiting, postponing, lame excuses and unexpected last minute delays I’m not sure if this is really real or if I passed away last night and woke up in a parallel universe of infinite possibilities. But a box arrived today and it says Lab-Box.
I’ll keep it short but it looks like it’s getting pretty cold in hell right now – the LabBox project seems to be shipping the final product. We’ll see how it goes and if it arrives. And if it’s working.

After letting us all in the dark for several weeks we again receive a word from the Lab-Box team.
Once again there was a delay in Lab-Box’s communication updates and another promise wasn’t kept. No reason for premature celebrations but it looks like the Lab-Box development tank will one day become reality. The makers posted a new update here and they seem to have made some progress. And they encountered new issues, so hang on…
I don’t even want to comment much on this any more but apparently they need another month before they are even able to tell us the delivery date. I bet by then they will find a new excuse why it will take another year or so.
The Lab Box project has published a new blog post and they do no longer give a concrete delivery date about when they will ship the devices that were paid for almost 2 years ago.
Lab-Box Kickstarter project posted another update and it looks like the arrival of the final product might become reality in the near future.
Once again changed plans concerning production of the parts which will take place in China completely. They state this decision was made due to several reasons. To keep this post short you can read all the stuff here.
It still seems that this Kickstarter – as opposed to what I heard about so many other hardware projects on Kickstarter – will really deliver and maybe even be on time.
They sent two recent updates and I just wanted to point you to the latest one as it shows some progress in the development of the box.
